The heart chakra, or anahata in Sanskrit, allows you to spread and receive love throughout your life. It is the center and source of all of the unconditional love in your life.

Unconditional love is a big thing. Do you ever feel like loving someone unconditionally is difficult? Or, do you ever wish that someone else would love you unconditionally as you are? I’ve been there. And practicing heart chakra focused affirmations made a huge difference for me. The entire concept of unconditional love opened up. And once I understood what it was and what it felt like, I began to see it everywhere.

The truth is, unconditional love is all around us. It’s just that sometimes we are blind to it due to factors beyond our control, like past trauma or current stress.

Additionally, there are other symptoms of a blocked heart chakra that can be remedied by practicing specific affirmations. Fixing them will really improve your life experience. These include feeling lonely, experiencing social anxiety, self-criticizing, lacking trust, and being fearful in relationships.

So, if any of these is a struggle in your life, strengthening your heart chakra may help. After all, we all want to open our heart space so that love can flow in and out freely.

Building an Effective Affirmation Practice

If you’ve been following this series, you already know what’s coming. But, I’m going to give a quick rundown of how to have an effective affirmation practice right now, just in case.

You can maximize the benefits you get from practicing affirmations in a few key ways:

  1. 1. Repeat them daily.
    Dedicate a time and place to your affirmation practice. Although affirmations can be repeated anytime, anywhere (which is one reason they’re so great), you will get the best results if you maintain a solid routine for repeating your affirmations.

2. Create the proper environment for your practice.
To do this, try to design a specific setting where you can comfortably say your affirmations out loud. The more inviting your affirmations space is, the more likely you are to go there and spend some time in it. Candles and cushions are nice additions. For advanced practitioners, consider adding some higher level elements such as mood lighting or a mirror. A comfy and private affirmation space is a key ingredient in any healthy affirmation practice.

3. Make them your own.
Feel free to customize the affirmations provided below. The more strongly you relate to them, the better your outcomes will be. Don’t be afraid to really go for it and write some of your own as well. You know yourself best, and creativity creates resonance.

4. Mean it when you say them.
Saying your affirmations monotonously in your head will not get you nearly as far as if you repeat them aloud and with feeling! It can seem weird at first, but that’s part of the beauty of having a private affirmation space. When you’re in there, you do not have to be afraid of what anyone else will say or think. Just gather your courage and go for it! You will thank yourself later.
